Piper and Sara met in 2008 through Biznik to chat about the Seattle interior design world and compare work stories. We soon discovered a strong connection on many levels, one being our commitment to make the interior design industry a green-friendly experience. Similar businesses are normally considered competitors, but we were inspired to collaborate rather than compete – the spirit of Sit+Sip.

Sit+Sip was created out of our passion for sustainable interiors and the desire to share our knowledge and resources with the Seattle community. Our joy and enthusiasm in collaborating together has extended to the Sit+Sip philosophy of building community through local exposure for retail stores and vendors related to each event. We’ve come together to support each other, amp up business opportunities and have fun doing it.

Sara Eizen has delighted in playing house for as long as she can remember. As a little girl, it was Barbie’s Penthouse with all its fab furnishing potential that dazzled her imagination far more than her blonde locks or faux furs. Many years later with an interior design degree, and 3.2 corporate-design sales jobs behind her, she began indulging her creative fancies in the homes of people eager for her input on design. “I’m hooked on helping people fall back in love with their homes. Nuts over renewing living and working space on any kind of budget. Crazy about coaching my clients on how to bring their creative vision to life, and watching them see it through.” The Nest service philosophy is all about options. That means mixing your old stuff with new and matching studs with stripes. It also means we can mix and match services to give you just the right attention you need. You are free as a bird to call the shots. It’s your nest, after all.

Piper Lauri Salogga is the owner and principal of Natural Balance Home & Office, an integrated interior design company in Seattle. Wildly creative and spiritually sincere, Piper uses a unique design approach that combines organizing, style, feng shui and personal empowerment to help people consciously transform their spaces and their lives. It’s not just decorating. “My passion is creating joy, peace of mind, and beautiful personal environments.”

Piper is skilled in several practices to help others live their best life, including feng shui, numerology and the I Ching. She is trained in Forms Theory from the Dragoumier Institute, School of Feng Shui. She is also a member of the National Feng Shui Guild and the National Association of Organizing Professionals.
